Electric Actuator Controllers
SMC offers several fieldbus protocol enabled controllers for LE’s 24VDC step motor actuators. Single axis direct input controllers are available for Ethernet/IP and CC-Link. Also, there is a 4-axis controller with Ethernet/IP capability. A gateway device offers network access using CC-Link DeviceNet, Profibus or Ethernet/IP protocol as well. The gateway can connect up to 12 RS485 serial controllers, including both the LECP6 for step motors and the LECA6 servo motors.
LEC-G
LEC-G is a Fieldbus-compatible Gateway (GW) unit for electric actuators. Protocols include CC-Link Ver. 2.0, DeviceNet™, PROFIBUS DP, and EtherNet/IP™. Cables and branch connectors are available for connecting up to 12 controllers, depending on the selected protocol.
JXC*1 EtherNet/IP™
The JXC*1 is a single axis controller for LE's 24VDC step motors compatible with serveral fieldbus protocols including Ethernet/IP fieldbus. Actuator motors can be operated by calling a line of step data or by direct numerical instruction, each possible over the network. Futher Ethernet/IP capable functions include return to origin, alarm outputs and resets, parameter setup, status monitoring, and trial runs.
JXC92, Step Motor Controller, 3-Axis
The JXC92 is a 3-axis controller for LE's 24VDC step motors, compatible with EtherNet/IP™ fieldbus. Three electric actuators can be controlled within one package, simplifying wiring and economizing space. Further, the coordination of complex movements has been added. These movements include 2-axis arc or circular interpolation, and 3-axis linear interpolation, along with speed tuning control. A call to one line of step data can include force and movement instructions for up to three axes. Typical applications include pick and place sorting or filling, lifting, and non-linear path tracing for graphics production or dispensing.
JXC*3, Step Motor Controller, 4-Axis
The JXC73, 83 and 93 are 4-axis controllers for LE's 24VDC step motor driven electric actuators. Four electric actuators can be controlled within one package, simplifying wiring and economizing space. Further, the coordination of complex movements is possible. These movements include 2-axis arc or circular interpolation, 3-axis linear interpolation, and 4-axis speed matching. The speed matching feature corrects for speed differences between axes that could result from external forces or other factors. Synchronous positioning with feedback between axes is not available. JXC73 and JXC83 are NPN and PNP parallel I/O types using two 40-pin cables. JXC93 uses the EtherNet/IP™ fieldbus protocol to communicate with the PLC. One line of step data can be called for up to 4 axes of force and movement instructions. Typical applications include pick and place gantry movement, multi-axis lifting while maintaining orientation and stability, and non-linear path tracing for graphics production or dispensing.
JXCL1 Step Motor Controller, IO-LInk
The JXCL1 is a single axis controller for the 24VDC step motors of LE series electric actuators. This controller supports the IO-Link communication protocol. When paired with an IO-Link master, it is possible to monitor status, reset alarms, set step data, and input motion controls directly from the PLC's HMI screen. A full range of parameter settings are available. IO-Link enables settings recovery when changing the controller for any reason. JXCL1 incorporates IO-Link version 1.1 and com3 speed.
